Cat6a cable, or Category 6a cable, is an enhanced version of Cat6 cables. It was introduced in 2010, and is designed for use in 10/100/1000BASE-TX networks. Like its predecessor, Cat6a supports up to 10Gbps speeds, but with improved alien crosstalk (AXT) and improved bandwidth.

It is also made from polyethylene and copper wiring, but utilizes 8-pair twisted pair wiring. This provides better shielding, which minimises noise and crosstalk. It also comes with an outer insulation that is thicker than Cat6 cables and provides stronger protection against EMI and RFI interference.

What is Cat6e Cable?



Cat6e cable, or Category 6e cable, is the latest iteration of Ethernet cables. It was introduced in 2016, and like its predecessors, it is designed for use in 10/100/1000BASE-T networks. It offers faster data transfer speeds of up to 25Gbps and improved AXT, making it ideal for high-traffic networks.

Like Cat6 and Cat6a, Cat6e is made from polyethylene and copper wiring, but uses four-pair twisted pair wiring. It also comes with an outer insulation designed for maximum protection against EMI and RFI interference.
