Ingredients



To craft this savory masterpiece of a meal, you will need the following ingredients:


  • 1 (4-lb) flat cut beef brisket

  • 3 tablespoons oil

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon cumin

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste



Dry Rub



In a bowl, mix together the chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Instructions




  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.

  2. Rub each side of the brisket with the oil and then rub the dry rub mixture all over both sides of the brisket.

  3. Place brisket in a roasting pan or baking dish. Cover roasting pan or baking dish with foil

  4. Bake in preheated oven for 3 hours.

  5. After 3 hours, remove foil and cook for an additional hour.

  6. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
